Meriton (Tony) Gollopeni, PE

Tony is a structural bridge engineer with EXP. He works on design, inspection and load rating projects in the mid-Atlantic area. Tony earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Prishtina, Kosovo, and his Master's Degree at Syracuse University. Tony has been an active professional member of ASCE since 2021. Tony's hobbies include soccer and rock climbing.

Leslie is a Civil Engineer at Daft-McCune-Walker (DMW). She works in land development design including stormwater management, sediment and erosion control, layout, grading, roads and utilities. Leslie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Maryland College Park (UMD). Leslie has been an active professional member since 2018, and has previously served as YMG's Membership Chair, Secretary, and Vice President. Outside of ASCE you can find Leslie at concerts or traveling.

David MacGregor, PE

David is a geotechnical engineer with Schnabel Engineering. His responsibilities with Schnabel include organizing subsurface exploration programs, developing design recommendations regarding structure foundations and slope stability, and providing consultation during construction for earthwork and foundations.  David earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he is currently working toward a Master’s of Engineering. David has been an active professional member of ASCE since Spring of 2022. In his free time, you can find David hiking local trails with his dog in the summer or at the ski slopes in the winter.

Weilin (Rocky) Wang, EIT

Rocky is currently a Water Resources Engineer at Century Engineering, A Kleinfelder Company in Baltimore, Maryland where he is responsible for stormwater management, drainage design, erosion & sediment control design, stormwater management facilities inspections, construction oversight, and other duties of engineering and construction. Rocky earned his Bachelor of Biosystems Engineering (Ecological Engineering Option) with a minor in Sustainability Studies from Auburn University in May 2021, and Masters of Geography and Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in May 2023. During his last semester at Johns Hopkins, he finished his research study in wind energy converters to power CO2/O2/O3 sensors under Dr. Umesh Korde’s guidance. Rocky has been an active professional member of ASCE since 2021.

Cole is currently a Water/Wastewater Engineer for GHD in Bowie, Maryland where he is responsible for pump design, submittal review, pipe design, construction inspections, construction coordination, and other duties of engineering. Cole earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Valparaiso University in May 2023. Cole has been an active professional member of ASCE since 2023.

Alyssa Sooklal, PE

Alyssa is a Water Resources Engineer with the Water Resources Engineering group of McCormick Taylor in Baltimore, MD. She is responsible for stormwater management, drainage design, erosion & sediment control design, stormwater management inspections, construction oversight, 1D/2D modelling, and other duties of engineering design and construction. Alyssa holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering with a secondary major in Spanish and a minor in Earth & Planetary Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University. Alyssa has been an active professional member since 2017, and has served on the executive board of ASCE Maryland Younger Member Group for many years, most recently as President for the 2023-2024 term. Alyssa holds additional leadership positions in ASCE, as the Chair of the Professional Objectives Committee of ASCE Maryland, and an Eastern Geographic Member of ASCE National’s Committee on Younger Members (CYM). Alyssa has won ASCE Maryland’s “Young Civil Engineer of the Year” Award (2022), ASCE National’s “Outstanding Younger Member in Community Activities” Award (2023), ASCE National’s “Outstanding Practitioner Advisor” Award (2024), and ACEC Maryland’s “Young Professional of the Year” Award (2023). She is a 2024 New Face of Civil Engineering, an honor designated by ASCE National to ten young professionals under the age of 30, every year. Alyssa has accomplished much during her time in ASCE Maryland YMG leadership, and is excited to move to an advisory role within ASCE Maryland YMG as Past President for the 2024-2025 term. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys exploring new places and reading cute fiction novels.

Marine Solutions

Cassidy is a Project Engineer Diver at Marine Solutions, Inc. She works on several types of bridge inspections, including diving and climbing. Cassidy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University. Cassidy has been an active professional member of ASCE since 2021. Her hobbies include reading, hiking, and playing board games.
